Playing for 18 days now and becoming hopelessly addicted.  Level 37 Pro, 79 ave.  Recently purchased Pro 9.5 Driver and R11 3 wood.  Only plan to spend free credits.  I seem to lose most strokes by inability to stop ball on fast greens.  Been reading blogs and the consensus for my next purchase seems to be 2 wedges...specifically either the level 42 Ping 60 yard or Satin 60 yard and the 77 yard Satin wedge.  Based on the extensive experience out there, is this the best way to improve my scores?  Thanks in advance for your input.

Definitely wedges, but 3, not 2. It may seem like you need the hybrid, but you will use the extra wedge a lot more and it will help your scoring more. The R11 is the best club in your bag.... learn how to take 10, 15 yards off it. I think Tour SD balls are the best deal.

Z-Satins 54, 60, and 64 should be good.  You could get the Ping 60 (75yds) instead of the Z-Satin 60 (75 yds) if you like.  Or buy both they are cheap at 200 credits each.  I personally bought every Z-Satin degree there was and am very happy with them.  I am covered if I want to carry 4, 3, or 2 wedges depending on course/conditions.

First off, here are a couple other threads that might help you in your uograding:

I'd agree with the wedge purchase.  Get 3 and dump the hybrid, though.  I'd say get a 64, 60, and 54 or 56 (that choice depends on what iron set you plan on upgrading to).  At L37, I'd recommend you have a look at the L35 Ping G|10 Irons, they're one of the best values in the pro shop. The Pro driver is ok for now.  Also, have a look at a putter.  I'd recommend getting in the Ghost Spider line, but if the price points are an issue, shop around.  Tour-SD balls would probably be a good ball at this point, and you shouldn't have too much trouble earning enough credits to make that work (you'll be surprised how fast you earn them once you get good at it). Be sure to invite some of your friends, too. You get a free pack of Srixons for every one who signs up!
