To WGT or anyone that can help,

Figure this is the best forum to get some advice for what I want to do.  Would like to create a tournament (Country Club if possible, but not limited to that) in memory of my father (could never do a real life tournament, so the potential opportunity to due so via WGT is nice).  Would like to make it free so everyone could participate, even those in areas that do not allow skill-based gaming (which I’m in), but would be willing to put up my own credits for a prize.  However, I can’t seem to figure out how to due so.  When I’m in the create tournament page I can’t change the prize to give credits while the entry fee is set to free.  I’m I missing something, I think I’ve seen free tournaments with credits for prized before, so think can be done?  If not, WGT what are the chances of making this possible?  I would like to do it in early April around the time of his death.

    Thanks for any help, kcihak.

I understand that in the Ready-Go tournaments that 20% of the pot goes back to “the house” per say.  For example after 50 people enter and puts in their 100 credits each, there is 5000 credits in the pot, 4000 is awarded to players, and 1000 goes back to WGT.  Something like that would also apply here.  For example if 20% was chosen as the house percentage here as well, then if someone wanted to award 1000 credits in a Country Club tournament, then they would have to put 1200 credits into the pot.

Could you not do a free tournament but offer the winner, for instance free balls, which you then buy and gift to them?

Yes, a Gifter Tourny is an alternative, and have been apart of, but can be a bit of a pain.  Just think this would be alot simpler.  Just set it up, and then you are good to go.

WGT does not offer what you are asking for (admiral as it is).

Set up a Cc comp and then gift out the Prizes or for the winners,Set up a Challenge M/P game for the amount of credits and then lose. The only problem with that is your opponent has to have the same amount of credits and of course depends on local Laws.

Maybe you could ask folks to sign up for the game, and then get them to play a free weekly single play game. You decide on the week which game it is you want them to play. For example: week 14 st andrews single play appears that week, you then go and tell all who have signed to play that game. As far as i know, there is no way to set up a game for anyone outside of your club.
