Looking for some feedback from those techo's out there, basically have teh opportunity to purchase AVG software thru the free offers here, and get some free credits, question is, is it any good?

There is a AVG Internet Security 2012 (1 computer/1 year) for $66.05 NZ dollars, and AVG Anti-Virus 2012 (1 computer/1 year) for $48 NZ dollars.

Any one with experience, any big pros? - Cons

    Thanks Kindle

    Kindle,

Stay away from AVG, get Microsoft Security Essentials instead.

MSE is free and does as good or better a job at keeping nasties out as AVG ever has plus it will not bloat your pc like avg does.

Healthier for your pc if you just bought some credits mate.

Be sure to completely uninstall all traces of any old antiyirus software before you install the new one.

I've been using the free AVG virus protection for 4 years with zero problems and not a single virus in that time. Free. As in no dollars spent on it.  :-)

AVG free is so good at doing what its supposed to it makes you wonder why an average pc user would pay for AV software. I combine it with spybot and have years of virus free usage.
