    Richard4168:

The shot randomness program will only increase as the eagles and birdies keep dropping. This is basically what Jim was alluding too. Every player has experienced this shot randomness on their better and mediocre rounds.

So now the programmers of WGT have programmed "shot randomness" into their software.  This is getting good.... tell me more.

Why can't you guys admit that the "shot randomness" relies on your inconsistency as it does with me and many others on here....

    Funny stuff though....

@cycle, I'm glad your having a good laugh, it shows you really don't have a clue. This information came from MisterWGT and WGTniv.

I bet you believe 9-11 was a inside Government job and the moon landing was a hoax. Here's your sign cycle.

    Now that's funny stuff! : )

HAHA..... Not sure how you turned the conspiracy theorist stuff on me but funny stuff!  Don't you think the conspiracy theoristss are the ones that believe there is a "randomness program" built into the software?!?!?!?!?  and that WGT intentionally makes Eagle putts harder than Birdie putts which are harder than Par putts???

I have to agree with you there cycle...

Eagle putts are no harder than birdie putts, which are no harder than par putts.

There IS, however, a randomness VARIABLE!!! This is called precision. Have you noticed that as the precision stat gets higher the deviations become lower? The stat "precision" is really "how little will the ball deviate?"

This precision variable also has a lot of other names, such as: randomness, randomness program, conspiracy theory,  glitch, bug, stupid, and most commonly-luck!

The point is that you guys don't understand what this is, while the answer has been sitting in front of you your whole WGT careers!

    Richard4168:
The shot randomness increases as you play better, i.e., when you make more consecutive eagles and birdies. The same affect is in place but reversed when you miss eagles and birdies.

That was how I have heard VEM explained before...that said, I also have read WGT has not implemented VEM.

    Good discussion though.

Its also been mentioned by some that the randomness program, or shot variables, or the precision/forgiveness feature of the clubs is the VEM model. In any event, there is a program in this game that will increase the difficulty of play as a player continues to score well in any game-mode. Whether anyone wants to believe it or not.

" Mice can sense tension." funniest quote I've ever seen.

I wonder is that a group disorder or perhaps an individual mouse is immune.

    Thanks DarSum,   very very funny.

I'm going out now for a CTTH tourney where I will grip the mouse ever so tenderly.

That is just flat out false, would love to see you provide a reference for that.  I remember in the 'VEM' patent documents it said (paraphrasing) "as a player advances in skill variables may increase difficulty in the gameplay"  MRWGT then stated that the VEM model was not in effect.   They own the right to implement it, but has not been implemented.    From my own experience thru thousands of rounds, it doesn't matter if I am -1 or -17 when I am playing the 18th, the randomness in the game (deviations, NOT VEM) is completely equal regardless of score in the current round.

I play "real golf" in Las Vegas where I live and play once a week. Last summer I went two months without making a birdie. Then seemingly out of nowhere I made five birdies in one round. Thank God there is VEM in the real world!

How is what I said false then, whether VEM is implemented or not?

I have my own experience through thousands of rounds as well. I didn't just fall off the bologna truck yesterday. The shot randomness program may not be VEM, but randomness, or "deviations" do occur within the game. Do you agree with that?
