Has anyone compared the L66 and L92. Do you  gain that much with that 1/2 dot precision?

Ask Hpurey. He went back and forth with both of them during his trying to find a putter that works stage. :-D

FWIW, the way you were putting last night I never even thought you had the 66 Ghost. I would say those putts you barely missed would have dropped with the 92 but you'd have to ding them.

    YeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeuUUP!

Love the L92 ghost.   The L66 was good-nuff when I was using it,  but once I dedicated myself to the L92 only,  good-nuff was just........not good-nuff.

Not sure how this got double posted,  but since YJ already got me on it, I will leave it here just so his response makes sense.  ;-)

I currently own the Daytona rossa ( L 55 + ) putter. I miss hit the ding to either side when I putt and find this putter works very well for that. Has anyone who also putts this way compared the Rossa to the L 92 + Ghost Spider putter. I have just reached level 92 and would be very interested in any comments anyone may have on this subject.

I have used both. You do have to ding the Spider because with its higher forgiveness you really have to miss the ding a lot more to use the miss the ding method. But if you hit the ding it eats the Daytona alive. There is really no comparison. And though they have the same meter speed, for some reason I find it much easier to ding the Ghost Spider than
    I do the Daytona.

I have a random question related to putting.  a few weeks back I upgraded to spider (level 36 or whatever the low level is) and my putting has went downhill from the starter putter.

My question is, when folks putt, do they normally move the arrow from the hole over left or right to sink the putt on a slope, or do folks normally use the putter guage by going left or right of the "ding" line to sink putts on a slope?

I always have, since day 1, use the ding method.  I keep the arrow direct on the hole, then just go left or right of the excellent mark (ding) depending on the slope and it was super easy with starter, but with spider, its a lot harder to do that way until you get much much practice with it.

Due to the much higher forgiveness of the Ghost Spider the miss the ding method is extremely hard to do. Because the forgiveness tries to keep the putt on the line chosen you must miss the ding much more than with the starter which had much less forgiveness. The best approach to putting with the better putters is to chose your line allowing for the break and try to ding the putt. I have never understood the miss the ding method anyway.  Would you aim right at the hole and then either push or pull your putt in real life? I think not, So why do it here? I know there are some very good players who putt well with this method but with the better putters it is a very difficult way to play.
