You have a meter stutter,  look into past forum entries about meter problems, therein lies the answer.  my nickle.

Not sure ... A meter stutter we know about... Lately I'm getting a Video stutter.  This is only happening in the last month..... well those big videos, which takes up most of my screen and is loud as hell,  have just started to play on my screen before each game, I have a feeling it's got something to do with them.

i know what you mean. i had this when i first started, but it's come back.

it's got to the point recently that if the shot goes away straight after clicking on the meter downswing i know it's not close to where i want it, whereas if it's a good shot the game has that little pause then decides if to give it or not. very annoying.

anyone playing this game knows it gives and takes, but it's become very one sided of late. if i go out on a practice round everything will be given, go out for credits or a club match and it starts playing up. i had a skins game last night where the ball just refused to do as it was told, lol.

stick with it seajadee, hopefully it evens out in time and gives back a bit of enjoyment :-)

I don't have the stutter, but I am getting sick of the the crap.

I use Raptor V2 2010's, and have done for a while, meter speed slow, and a good set of clubs for me.

With the clubs, I have used WGT B-XD balls, with minimal distance increase, but predictable and playable.

I then purchased the Callaway Tour(z)'s which I had used before to good effect. This time however, they are shocking. Don't play at all like they used to. It is as if the whole game mechanics structure has been blown away. Miss the ding and they either go over the mark by 2 miles, or drop under by as much. I thought under/over ding deterined left/right variation, not distance.

I then purchased the top-of-the-line Nike 20 XI-X's, and they perform worse than the Callaways. Absolutely no control, the "distance modifier" is a joke, and spin?? I think the WGT Jester dipped them in oil before they were packaged.

    PATHETIC!!

A missed ding most definitely impacts distance control as well as lateral deviation. Usually shorter, but not always.

Quite the contrary. The Nike's absolutely have MORE control which is why they may appear to be falling short of your expected distances. HINT: Don't use full backspin on them, especially into any headwind

The thought that "high-performance" equals easier to use is not atypical, but it's still misplaced. A high-performance car is harder to handle than a 4-door sedan at high-speeds and under dynamic road conditions, but in the hands of a good driver it will leave the sedan looking like...well, a sedan. Same with a racing superbike-vs- stock Harley Davidson and the list can go on. The cost for higher performance is usually a smaller margin for error. In the case of the Nike ball, it's the sensitivity to spin and distance adjustments. You simply can't be "close", you need to be REALLY close. Not pathetic.

That does not explain why going back to the other balls (in order, back to Callaways, then back to the WGTs) has not done anything, and my game play is now such that they should probably send me back to Hack Tier. I've managed to lose any control I ever had over puting a ball on a fairway/green or in the hole. I've gone from a good round of even-par to double-bogey every hole.
