I'm using Cabo #18 as an example because having just played it its fresh in my mind. I had up hill putt, the putter view showed relatively fast moving dots, whilst the chip view (wedge) had slower moving dots, not half as much of a break as the putter view. Although usually i always trust the chip view lately over the putter view but for some reason i had a little doubt in my mind and went with the putter view, of course putt sailed wide. Should have gone with the chip views lesser break.
On most putts now i tend to check with my wedge (chip view) to see if the breaks are correct, because a lot of times you can have moving dots with putter view, but no moving dots with the chip view, or the chip view will have a different break whether being stronger or weaker. This has improved my putting a great deal lately especially on putts where you have a line and both breaks either side are different. Chip view seems spot on most of the time, and its what i always trust now if both putter and chip breaks are not the same.
But why is chip view more accurate for reading "most" breaks than the putter view when its the putter we need to putt with?
