I'm using Cabo #18 as an example because having just played it its fresh in my mind.  I had up hill putt, the putter view showed relatively fast moving dots, whilst the chip view (wedge) had slower moving dots, not half as much of a break as the putter view.  Although usually i always trust the chip view lately over the putter view  but for some reason i had a little doubt in my mind and went with the putter view, of course putt sailed wide.  Should have gone with the chip views lesser break.

On most putts now i tend to check with my wedge (chip view) to see if the breaks are correct, because a lot of times you can have moving dots with putter view, but no moving dots with the chip view, or the chip view will have a different break whether being stronger or weaker.  This has improved my putting a great deal lately especially on putts where you have a line and both breaks either side are different.  Chip view seems spot on most of the time, and its what i always trust now if both putter and chip breaks are not the same.

But why is chip view more accurate for reading "most" breaks than the putter view when its the putter we need to putt with?

Maybe because the game is still in beta after 5 years?  Just being facetious Chris, but it does make one think as to why this game is still in beta with all these unresolved bugs...

CABO 18th, What a sweet putting hole that is on Tourny greens.

Only thing missing is the clown and the windmill.

I have to admit, I am getting very tired of a dinged shot being a bad shot. It seems as if the VEM is exaggerated on a ding. Drives/Woods vary drastically off course, putts come to a screeching halt or just plain come off the club face at an angle to the aim line ...

I just had *yet another* birdie stolen because the dinged putt came up woefully short even though it is the same math I use on every other putt - and I gave it a teense extra anyway just in case. And it dinged, and just shambled off the face toward the hole, stopping a good 6" short. This was a 9ft, straight putt. It only missed because it was too short, and it was NOT hit too short. It literally has gotten to the point that if I ding a putt, I grit my teeth and just wait for it.

Please WGT, look into your "Ding" code ... it honestly feels as if the Precision (or lack there of) is being added twice or something.

After watching some of BBs videos I started to use the chip to read the green with good results.  Lot more dropping(when dinged).  During an alt shot game another player noticed me switching to chip on the green and said, "those slower moving chip dots easier on your old eyes?"  I just laughed it off.  Little did he know those dots moving at different speeds were trying to tell you something.  Oh well, more birdies for me.
