That is because they do not permit gifting of equipment that is tier restricted to anything Pro and higher. He'll have to settle for the basic 900cr Rapture Driver.
*edit* Sorry.... just re-read it... you can't "give" your friend credits.
Play him in a match play game and forfiet after you get started! You can only wager however many credits he has in his account though!
