It's already crazy that WGT charges what they do for VIRTUAL golf balls. How about reducing the cost altogether and not taking them for lost ball or assessing a % off durability meter. Right now I am playing free balls due to cost and lost ball issue. Occasionally I buy the 44¢ balls but if the nike/other balls were 25¢ each I would definitely buy them all the time. In the long run WGT would get way more out of me and I would be happy to donate to the site. But the lost ball issue is a definite thorn.

Wgt could give us something back now and again and recover the loss by clawing back on the durability of balls.

how often in real life when you land in the rough do you find another ball first before you find your own. every so often let us find a ball that has part durability left. a battered ball is better than nothing.

example  you land in deep rough you are about play your shot a pop up comes up

its your lucky day you have found a ball with 50% durability left. the item has been placed in your bag.

say one chance in say 50 of finding one

wgt can cover the finds by clawing back 1 shot on the durability on every new ball sold

plus i have to agree some lost balls are crazy give us a chance of finding some and taking a drop 2 club lengths from the hazard. a ball lands in a bush to say its a lost ball every time is daft. give us a slim chance of finding it and taking a drop please. a one in 15 chance is reasonable.

About 6 months ago there was a "found lost ball" popup going around where you got a free Cal, it didn't last long.

i bet they lost the pop up in one of their own hazards.

its because of WGT that scientists are reinvestigating black holes as they seem to have taken the subject to a whole new level. everything and then some seem to disappear in some of those hazards

It would be nice if WGT would consider something like this as it would be considered more realistic in that we don't always lose balls that may appear lost in real life.

Rory Mcilroy had a ball go out of bounds at Wentworth by a about a foot or so. After dropping a new ball down, he calmly strolled over and put his out of bounds ball in his pocket!! There are a few places on our courses where we could easily do this, off the back of the green at SA 17th is one that springs to mind, even stumbling upon a scruffy urchin selling 2nd hand golf balls in the club park would be quite realistic as well. I used to buy them by the carrier bag full.

I like the idea of finding lost balls, but, what happens if it is not the ball that you use.  I would tee that ball up and drive it out of bounds as soon as I get a chance.   There is no point of having a bunch a balls in inventory that you don't use.   Myself, I have no balls in inventory.   What you see on my equipment list on my profile page is all that I use.  There are no clubs in inventory other than a r11  hybrid, which I am thinking about selling it back, as it only gathering dust.  Just my thoughts.

i think even wgt would have the common sense to give you whatever ball you were playing at the time.

Very true, I keep a few cheap ones for wolf creek and Bali Hai tho.

But I am considering going back to using the G12's, I can't afford to play this game like I used to, thankfully it's starting to lose it's addictive hold over me :))
