After recently moving up to the Pro Tier, I now find my Tour Starter L10 driver not having the distance that I want.

I'm looking at the Ping K15 10.5 and the Rapture V2 10.5 drivers.  Any comments from users is appreciated.

    Thanks.

    I am currently playing the R11 10.5 (252 yds).

I had to pay $15 into credits to get it, but it has

definitely been worth it.  I am now waiting to get

up to Level 88 so I can get the R11 9.0 (282 yds).

I used the Rapture, but both have identical specs, the K15 is longer by a few yds. Either would be an upgrade, I would take the longer one.

Next clubs you should think about would be some wedges, as about 50% of your shots are from less than 100yds. The lvl 39 z-satin 50yd is a great club that will last you for a very long time.

Thanks very much.  My reaction time isn't what it used to be 40 years ago, so I like the extra distance as well as the swing meter value.

I'll also check out the Z-Satin clubs.

I'd second that opinion about the wedges; super important to get something you can spin from short distances. I got the Rapture and I still keep it because of the slow meter and the control that gives me on really tight fairways. I also keep a longer driver (R9) instead of a hybrid, so that probably makes me a little weird, but I'd rather cut down my swing on my 3 wood than try to keep a long driver with a fast meter on a narrow fairway.

See you've bought a driver - get a decent 3 wood and then play with 3 wedges, dropping your fairway wood. You can still get a good round even with those starter irons of yours! Have fun :)

I find my choice of a Rapture 3WD better than the Tour Pro Driver + WD combined. It gives me two shots of 230+ yds on those long fairways, about enough until (and into) Tour Pro IMHO. I have even seen a Master from behind with not much more equipment.

i used the r11 all the way to master i am 66  and the same problem with meter speed.  i used the count method and it worked also the callaway balls slowed it down  at master well its a lot faster and the nike ball makes the difference or i could not play  .  i like the r11 over the ping it seemed to me it had more forgiveness then the ping and i bought both  went back to the r11. have fun  strikersesay

For what it's worth, I'm with this chap. In my humble opinion, it's the best club I've ever had. It saw me through Pro and Tour Pro tiers and I reluctantly had to change it when I made Master and the tees went further back. Decent distance and very, very, forgiving !

You have level 38 the best thing to do is to buy the K15 set , or  you can get just the driver and wait to 58 and get the G20 SET.

Rapture K15 and G20 are the most forgiving and slow meter clubs available.

I have a lvl28 Rapture V-2 Club Set and i'm very competitive in the pro tier. You give up a little distance in order to have more control over your shots.
