Half meter will not go half distance. Just saying.

Piz is right. Never, ever hit chips and pitches less than 70%. It's an automatic duff. The clubs here do not have linear relationships to the meter.

Full shots on wedges though can go down as far as 40%.

Its not an exact science just a place for the beginers to start.  Putter pal sucks and they sell that...

putter pal rocks but u could always just trace the lines on them with tape on the screen.

It's a good effort, Dave, but you have to be careful thinking  a 50% swing means you get 1/2 the rated yardage. This is where the clubs here aren't linear-the distance you lose on a choked swing accelerates the more you choke.

Another way you might look at setting up your chart is to go by the movement of the club in the swing. The way it steps gives you very distinct points to measure distance from. Many players use this method.

Sorry to say, but apparently your table is more false than true, from the linear calculation to the unplayable low fractions.

In contrary, putts are linear and they work down to smallest fractions. That's why putter pal is useful, unless you have this tucked below your screen:

That explains why...my half chips always go 3 inches.....:(....Only been playing for a couple days and its been along time since I played online golf-20 years maybe!!!!  but this game is not forgiving for short putts and short chips thats for sure...!

From the fringe a half chip can work, but as noted _ don't expect half the 100% distance.

As soon as you're in the rough you have to remember that only the 1st 1/4 to 1/3 of total chip distance is the ball airborne. Pick a different shot type if that initial 1/4 will come down in rough or even fringe.

The deeper the rough, the less airtime you'll get..
