    Hi everyone,

I'm in a predicament whether I should get a bigger driver?

Having turned Master not too long ago, I just think my K15 at 250 yards is just not far enough? Some of these tees are just incredible.

The G20 looks quite nice and I have my sights set on it. But then again, I really do like my current driver aside from the distance it offers. When playing a TP with a great driver, sometimes I am looking at a 80-90 yard disadvantage from the tee!

I'm really content with all my other clubs and the driver seems to be the missing piece, or not?

Any advice on this issue would be appriceated!

Absolutely!  Get the R11 if you can.  Either way, you moved back when you became a Master so now the holes are longer.  You need all the help you can get.  Don't know what ball you use, but take a look at the Callaways.

I picked up the G20 recently and really like it.  The meter is nice and slow and the only problem I've encountered so far is overshooting the runway once in a while because I was used to my old 245 yd. Rapture driver.

Yesterday I had driver then 9 iron to the 17th at St. Andrews, a hole that usually gives me fits...this was because of a strong tailwind, of course, but it's rare for me to have a makeable birdie putt on the Road hole...I'm usually scrambling to make par there.

Anyway, I recommend the G20 driver, it's worked well for me so far.

The added 20 yards definitely helps from the Master tees.  Remember though that the G20 driver meter speed is a little faster than the K15 set so it could be difficult going back and forth with different meter speeds.

I would like to wait around for the R11 driver, but 23 levels to go.

Maybe wait around for the free rental weekend and give the G20 a try. But when will that be?

Itching to get another 20+ yards on those drives...sometimes it's for a big shortcut, which means more yardage on the initial difference.

Still reluctant, but on the verge.;)

    Floki27:
The G20 looks quite nice and I have my sights set on it.

I use the G10 driver (precursor to the G20, but with a faster meter) and I'm very happy with the distance.

Yesterday I bought the R9 which is rated at 5 yds longer than the G10 (G20), then sold it two hours later because it was actually shorter and less versatile.

I still use the K15 irons and the speed between the slow irons and faster G10 driver was definitely an issue at first, but after a week or so, the difference mattered very little and I could ding both speeds with regularity. Since the G20 is slower than the G10, this should be even less of an issue.

The G 20 is the way to go. There is not a very big difference in meter speeds. The G10 now is much faster. However, the K 15 has a ton of forgiveness. The G 20 can keep up with them all, esp from the Master tees. Plus you are going to have to get use to a faster meter eventually so start here. The slowest meter by far for the most club is the G 20. And something to take in consideration is when you hit the level 80's, it is a new ballgame on leveling up. Much much more points.
