  How do you play Tournament Greens? What percentage should you take off your putts?

  I use

  80% for Tournament greens

  75% for Championship greens

  Print this chart and keep it handy. I have found it very useful.

  

  Also remember there are 2 different Tournament speeds.

  How do you play Tournament Greens? What percentage should you take off your putts?

  Take your total net distance, that's distance and + or - elevation and Divide by 1.3.  On Very fast greens, Divide by 1.2, and on Fast greens, Divide by 1.1     I've been using this for quite a while now and it helps.   

  So, if your're 30 feet from the cup and have a +4 elevation... you would divide 34 ft. by 1.03 for a total of a 26 foot putt.

  I've printed off the chart, but I don't get the distances at all. They seem the opposite of what they should be. Putting Distances for Tournament, etc. should be less than Very Fast, Fast, Standard and Slow, not more.

  If you hit your 15ft putter 10% on VF greens the ball will travel 1.8ft on a flat green. If you hit 10% of your 15ft putter on Tournament greens the ball will travel 2.0ft on a flat green. Of course you need to adjust for up or down hill.
