Hi all my first post after turning pro"god knows how" i find it impossible on some of these par 4s to reach the green in 2.This game is designed so that you must buy credits to get better clubs because its impossible to win credits with these clubs(starter),in tournaments. Not moaning just saying im yet to get an eagle and if i stay with these clubs i could play for 200 hours and never get one.Ive played a few golf games in the past and i was very good deposit and play for real money made a few bucks. But with this game if i deposit what can i win?nothing.Any tips or suggestions for me please....

Hello my old utour friend! How's it goin'?

Get yourself some decent clubs and balls if you want your scores to improve. The backspin starts to work when you get new equipment too! It's taken me months to get the hang of this ( a world away from utour, as i'm sure you're finding!) but I'm now starting to place in the tourneys. Get in the ready-go tourneys, a good way to build up credits, which can go towards new clubs etc. Each tourney costs 100 creds though

Yes, unfortunately no cash to be won on here but you've got a shot at real prizes each month, real golf clubs and the like...

Nice to see you on here mate, RIP utour :-)

yes i see what you mean. i am a pro with a 67.64 average and i cant reach all of the par 5s in 2 on Bethpage Black. I am trying to become a Master so i can get the R9 Master set. What average do you need 2 become a Master?

I can't really remember what the average was when i changed to Master but to be honest, mine is always hovering around the 65 mark and has never really been much below it. You must be close now with that average.

Even with master clubs though, it's still a bit of a lottery trying to hit par 5 greens in two. A strong wind is usually a factor in that..

I hit the Master tier at around 65.7 a few months back.  Assuming the algorithm requires our 9 hole scores to be exactly doubled to figure scoring averages, we must post some 32's (or lower) to get below 66...as 9 hole scores, doubled, never produce a odd number.  You can post a 65 but by playing 18...but, as you probably have discovered, it's harder to keep a good round going when you have to play the front and the back nine.

Definitely mate. I invested the few quid myself and haven't had to put any more in since, given the massive improvement better clubs give.

It's taken a long time for me to really appreciate this game, but I'm loving it now and it's nice to be on a site that is well run (you know how it all went crap with Skillground!)

Stick with it bud and we'll play a round soon...
