therev47: I dont know what im supposta answer to. I just ask a question about club from people who know more than i do after only playing for less than 2 weeks. This is a very good golf sight and its a lot of fun.
There's nothing to answer to, therev. There are a lot of red flags in your stats because they are very unusual for a new player. There is a proliferation of multiple IDs here because guys get to a point and decide the game is too hard for them and they start over, protecting things like stats and tier advancement. You fit that profile.
At one time I mused that it was possible for a new player to do exactly what you did-play your rear off learning in practice mode before venturing forth into ranked competition. It has never been substantiated to speak of. You might be that substantiation. If you are then good for you. If you aren't then shame on me for giving you the benefit of the doubt. I prefer to believe the former for now.
Your average doesn't mean anything and shooting crap rounds is part of the game so there's no reason to protect anything, least of all stats. Play ranked rounds and post your scores. Make the mistakes and let them show. That's how you'll get help.
Take the responses here, my earlier one included, with a grain of salt. Your performance will speak for itself. To answer your original questions, drop that Spyder like a hot potato and get the Ghost you're looking at. You won't be sorry.
On your irons, look at the following comparison. Note the relationship of the meter speed to the precision. You want the precision. The higher the precision, the faster the meter. There are 2 sets you would do well to look at and IMO, where you're at now, the R11s would be a good choice. They will take you to the level you need to get the HIGH lofted clubs which are the best sets to play this game with.
Until you get to the Legend tier you won't have huge difficulty with lower flying clubs and the increase in accuracy will take care of your concerns about stopping the ball. The ball you use can slow the meter down so if that's a concern try a ball that slows the meter down. This is the "feel" stat. The spin stat is big too so if you want stopping power, try ones that have a lot of spin dots, like the Callaway (s) ball.
You're off to a good start so keep it up and come back here when you turn Legend and laugh at all of us. GL ;-)
