Thought about this for a while, and I can't come up with an answer, so I'm asking you guys and WGT.  Why do I have to wait a few months (or however long it takes to get to lvl 90) to get my mits on the best clubs when I'm at the top level and need them now to have half a chance in tournaments?

I've bought pretty much every upgrade u can to get this far, and would like to spend some more please lol.  But can't for the life of me understand why I can't buy them now...

It's your level 82 that is preventing you. Once you reach level 90. you will be able to get all the clubs.

Thanks for the reply, but that's not what I asked.  I asked why? There seems to be no reason IMO.

p.s. I think it's fair for lower tiers like yourself to wait, but unfair for legends.

I think that's fair to be honest. As soon as you reach Legend then everything in the Pro Shop should be automatically unlocked. There is no way a level 58/ 68/78 Legend can compete at that tier unless he/she has the right equipment

You wouldn't see Tour Professional's in real life going out with inferior clubs or balls so why on here

You're not alone. I created Young Guns CC specifically for high tiered - low level players to compete against one another on a more level playing field.

It's worth noting that high tiered - low level players, even with mediocre clubs, tend to be some of the smartest players I've played with or against. They don't make a lot of bad decisions or take a lot of low percentage shots. By and large, they are very consistent,

I have never had an easy match against other YGCC members and, even though we don't win a lot of Ready-Go Tourneys, I think these are the players who will dominate when they finally reach the highest levels.

They are competitive by nature and typically unafraid of challenges. They might even have a little more OCD than the rest of the community, but that's an admirable trait in this little universe.

It's frustrating, to be sure, but you should wear your accomplishment as a badge of honor. Think of it as being in an Advanced Placement tier. It's supposed to be harder for you. You're better.

Maybe..... if all items where available to Legends regardless of their level, then it would be an incentive for players to make the move for Legend so they wouldn't have to wait so dang long to level up in order to get the clubs they want.

That is pretty much understandable, but I guess what OP is trying to find out, is why does the management and ownership of WG have it set up that way. There has to be a reason.  All it currently does it to promote lower level players not even trying for Legend level so they don't have to play from the longer tees.  Those that have worked to become a Legend should automatically be able to buy anything that is in the virtual pro shop.

It is what it is but there has to be some logic behind it.

I'm sure it all comes down to money.  Think about the low level legend player.  Most of us will pay for at least 2 or 3 different drivers, 2 or 3 sets of irons, 1 or 2 putters, and a few wedges as they become available from level 55 to level 92.  That is a lot of income for WGT that would be lost.

    Just my 2 cents.
