Bolly is correct..i used starters till turning master..then raptures...then came the TM...then saw all the top players using g10s..before the trajectory was changed @ pro shop...so i bought then G10s....then i was broke..but the G10s are way better...TM do not work well on the par 3's also.made a HUGE diff. @ bethpage...number 5 became a birdie hole..before w/ the TM id need to get a lucky bounce out of the rough/bunker..long irons stick/hold better b/c of the trajectory..just an overall better buy..plus w/ the 115 pw..very helpful at kia. Not saying you cant "master" the TM and shoot great..just mastering the G10s will be better

    BolloxInBruges:

Fine YJ, you're right,  I guess thats why I hit 5 more greens than you per 18 hole round.  And also why basically every player playing the game at a high level right now uses G10s.

Keep intentionally mishitting shots with your TMs....

Heh-That would be the difference between you and me. You're into it and I just play by the seat of my pants. Kinda makes you wonder what I could do if I tried ;-)

It isn't about me being right it's about the different style of game play available. I just happen to chose the more difficult way and I'm sorry if I stepped on your Nikes by refuting something you said. The irony here is that I'm paying attention to the iron discussion toying with the idea of trying the G10s!

In agreement with bolly. If you wanna be good and you want the best then the G-10's are the best club for all of the same reasons bolly previously mentioned.

Pretty much any good player you can think of is using them. Thats no coincidence.

    just my two cent

I used the TMs since they came out. Switched a few days to the G10s... WOW, wish I woulda done that a long time ago. The stopping on the long irons is insane, makes par 3s very very easy.

Give Nivlac a few more days and we'll be down to about a dozen threads!  :)

Nice work... keep it up. (Too bad you can't go work in S.F. and play golf out there.  Let me talk to MisterWGT...)

NOOOOOOOO!... then he'll be too busy playing golf to keep the forums in top shape!  (Also, I don't need him bogarting my tee times here in the Bay Area!)

(Agreed though, Nice to have a Mod who actually knows how to Mod...)

Gee thanks, Tater-you just pushed me over the edge. I dread having to learn my clubs all over again because I know exactly what I'm going to do before it's even my shot. Worse yet, I am so into the missing ding method I'm fearful that I will get killed doing this with the G10s because their forgiveness is less. Oh well, maybe I'll have some interesting shots for the Crazy Shots thread!  Here goes nuttin'..............
