log off procedure

  If I quit WGT by only closing my browsers and not actually logging out do I still appear as online? I have always just closed all open browsers and not logged off.

  Hey Born,

  If you close or X out your browser it should retain the cookie in your browser.  That means you'll be automatically logged in the next time you visit unless you clear your cookies between visits.

  Now, if you're on a public computer (one that multiple people use), you may wish to logout before you leave so no one else accidentally gets into your account.  Many banks and financial websites recommend you log out to completely close out the session.  That's never bad advice.

  I believe you would appear to be "offline" if you just close out the browser and not log off, but I could be wrong

  Ah, misunderstood the question.

  If you are available and you simply close out you tend to remain available for about 30-60 seconds while the system catches up to your disconnection.  After that, you'll be shown as offline to anyone looking at your profile

  hi

  the button is to the right of account button and above 'play now' button.

  you can also logout by manually clearing out your cookies.
