7zip in offers is a malware

  Just now went to complete offers and tried 7zip install,what comes next is message from AVG anti virus that the said file is a malware threat.

  Just a FYI for anybody reading to keep away from this malicious offer.

  Thanks for the heads up bud. You should also send this info to WGT so they can possibly do something about it.

  I don't know if it is malware or not, but after I installed it, it did not function the way it is supposed to.  I had to uninstall it and install it again from the 7zip website itself and it worked fine.  BTW, 7zip is VERY GOOD and in itself is not malware.  I don't know about the weird partnered version you get from the offer...

  I was referring to the 7zip software accessable through the complete offers section on this site,as i couldnt care less about what is the actual site.Winrar works perfectly fine for me for years now.

  Like i said before,its just an FYI.Anybody interested is free to go to the free offers section and try his luck with this crap.Your choice and your computer.
