Well..  if you gifted me 100 Callaway balls, you would be a Legend in MY mind!

You become a legend when you realize you really aren't as good as you thought at this game.... have fun!! :-)

Dunno, I know several or many tour master that wanted badly to be legends, I suppose the legend status was very important for them, however, I think they did it very quick after becoming Tour Masters & now they are.....in trouble & frustrated as hell with LONG approaches, narrow fairways (due to the legend tee distance to fairways) & "legend speed" tournament greens.

One suggestion: try one of the "Open" tournament from legend tees (default), probably on legend greens or even championship greens speed & see how you do, they are all "unlimited". You can qualify?!..if you can, you are ready to become legend, you can not even make a mid 60.......forget about it & practice those Open tournes until you can get LOW 60's, or you will end up simply frustrated as hell.

Take it easy & give it the right time......

Must admit, there is a friend of mine that went lightning fast from TM to legend & now he is one of the two best players in WGT......err, there are some exceptions of course. LOL.

You now need to shoot rounds of 30 or under to get your Average down.  St.Andrews front9 comes to mind to shoot scores like that.  Good Luck

Don't follow this suggestion... play ALL of the courses and be sure you can shoot low in all of them before you move to legend.  If you are only good at St. Andrews..... good luck

That's right Acrux, I didn't really mean to play St.A all the time.

The Op wanted to know how to get to Legend (which is a great Attitude). As already said ...  50 ranked rounds and below the 61ave, so he needs to shoot 30 and under from here to get his Average down.

Still play all the courses, but I think the easiest course to shoot 30 and under is St.A. This will change dramatically off the Blacks on that course (depending on wind conditions)...lol.

I have noticed when playing a 18 hole game, if you shoot 30/35 for a 65, the 30 can count to bring your average down too.  Sounds strange, but has happened to me.

Maybe the Op can start to play heaps of Multi-Player games with Legends to get use to the green speed.

FWIW, Kiawah is also said to be quite easy and I played my best rounds there.

OTOH, it makes no sense to me to advance through a needle's eye and face bigger problems afterwards. Alas, man forges his own destiny.

BTW, tournament greens can be set up in CC tournaments.

Bethpage front 9 is great for getting your average down.

You only need 5 birdies for a 30 as opposed to six on other courses, the 4th hole offers a great chance of bagging an eagle.

If your in a country club i'd go for low wind and fast green set up.

    Best of luck
