I have problems putting only in the Free Tournys. Everything else is fine.

    gbcolesup:

It's simple if you understand what cross site scripting or XSS then you will know that it is not your putting becoming difficult ...... [blah, blah, blah]

From what I understand about cross-site scripting (XSS) (see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cross-site_scripting) it is nothing at all as gpcolesup describes or imagines it. Sure sounds fancy, though, huh?

The worst thing one can do is over read, re-read and do brain science with any putt. Check it out, aim, and bang it.

Best statement on this thread.  A couple of months ago, I started hitting 6 foot putts, the same way I hit 2 foot putts...at the hole and with some power.  Sure enough I've started to sink them. I never go more than an inch or so outside the hole with a putt of 6 feet or less. There are very few exceptions to this rule (front pin on BPB #15 and left pin on STA #2 come to mind).

However, the way to make the greatest strides in lowering your putting average, is to knock the ball closer to the pin. It's not showing up a whole lot in my stats just yet, but I've really been working on my iron play and getting the ball closer to the pin...and it's paying off. Much easier to putt when you are averaging 8 feet to pin rather than 19 feet to the pin.

I do wish there was a way to sort stats for "Last 30 Days" or something like that, because it wouldn't surprise me if my AVG distance to pin was inside 10 feet, and my average putts per hole were less than 1.4.

In the last few weeks I have noticed the exact same thing.  Approach shots coming up short and missing 1 foot and 2 foot putts that never missed before.  What has changed with the game?

Well, I never have had much of a problem putting until I got humbled beyond knowing who I was or as if I had never picked up a putter before on Chateau Whistler, the person that designed that course is a sick individual, just kidding.  I missed some 1 foot putts that turned into 3 foot putts.

Man, I thought I was going nuts, I didn't expect such response. My Putting hell is still going on but good news my iron shots are improving, bad news is I'm missing even shorter putts because I'm getting closer with the irons and wedges. Isn't that a Catch-22?

Thanx for the info, I'll try not to spend so much time on putts.
