I shouldn't think it will be just we two dear 100, but Chad will need to actually set up a chat room to find out what benefits lie therein, and they be multifarious.

Oh what fun could we have, and more fun too. It should ought also be a way of keeping happy the grumpie groo's who ( Ironically) keep dipping into the forums to express their disflavour with people who take the time to use the forums...

Well, I thought I'd resurrect this.

On the face of it, one chat room for everyone could be a disaster I think; imagine 1000 folk all trying to speak at once - it would be mayhem.  However, I have also recently seen chat rooms where it worked ok.

So WGT, are you looking into a possible chat room for your customers?  And don't say IRC cos that chat room is so behind the times that it's nearly up for display at the National History Museum!  Plus, despite what they might say, that chat room is only if your face fits.

Have a look on the web at chat rooms and how they work.  Or, closer to home, have a look at WGTLS.  The idea can work if you only do it right.  And if nothing else, isn't it worth it just to keep Lizzie and her little x's here, eh???

All those in favour say "Aye".

Many of the country clubs as well as the ladder group has basically taken this into their own hands by setting up a chat area or a chat room that the members are generally in when they are online.

While this works for many of us, it makes it even more difficult for other players to get games.  If WGT would simply set up a chat lobby where you could ask who wants to play then you would solve the problem.

I can't see that this would be tough to do.

    Milfshake:

    Aye

    AYE!

It would really help with organising things like this as well, and without the need to introduce any other new elements:

So i looks like this problem has been going on for years. It is now 2014 and we still do not have an appropriate chat area on wgt.

As for 3rd party programs they all seem to create problems when playing the game...

I agree Clemmo. We need a chat area in our CC lobbies...
