    x1524807:
have had very little problem with the meter, i can usually compensate for the minor glitch, but the last 3 nights have been impossible. Anyone else having the same problem in the last 3 evenings

Oh the irony - I was posting a reply and the WGT site crashed haha.

Things have been so bad lately that I just log on, play a quick CTTH to see how bad the meter is, then log off. Really disappointing, as I regard myself as a keen player, but the whole meter question is too frustrating

Yup.  Just got jobbed on four or five shots on BP Unlimited.  Killed the possibility of a sub 70 round.  That and the totally inconsistent green speeds really made an anxiety provoking round of what is supposed to be enjoyable gaming.  Can't wait to play some real golf tomorrow.  I'll probably shoot over 85, but it will be an honest round governed by physics and not by the fickly whim of programmers and internet glitches.  WGT has so much potential and it IS fun when everything is running smoothly.

    Fix the meter.

Fix the putts from the fringe or give more information on the length of the grass or depth of the fresh pine sap that constitutes the fringe on some holes.

Fix the wind speed meter and direction arrow indicator so that it is meaningful on every hole.

Totally unfair to battle bad, unrealistic programming and bad meter characteristics as well.

I think that the courses are just beautiful best graphics of any game out there, but the rest of the game needs work compared to Tiger Wood online. Tiger Woods online if you buy clubs they indeed improve your game. I bought a Taylormade burner and it sped up the meter making the driver harder to hit" NOT EASIER." That sends a clear message to me that they don't want me to buy anything else from their shop. I know that I won't waste anymore money. As far as the game being inconsistent, the game is inconsistent at times. For example, down wind 10 mph iron to the green iron says it goes 140 yards hit the shot perfectly according to the gauge and the shot comes up 20 yards short. This scenario has occurred several times.  Another example, you intensionally hit a hook because of the dogleg, everything goes perfectly for the swing and the ball slices and "No HOOK" whats up with that. But not always sometimes it hooks, so you never know for sure what to expect. This could easily be the "BEST GOLF GAME ON THE INTERNET," I hope they can fix these little problems. ESPECIALLY THE CLUBS IF YOU SPEND MONEY ON A CLUB THERE SHOULD BE A BENEFIT FROM YOUR MONEY SPENT NOT A PENALTY!

I'm beginning to wonder whether WGT is tampering with my game or whether the new i(s) balls are just simply awkward.

    For example...

STA #1 93 yards out.  Typical adjustment I made with the legend balls (same distance rating as my Callaway i(s)) was 5-6 yards.  9 wind in my face... that's another 4.5 yards.)  Therefore, I would've normally hit the ball 102.5-103.5 yards.  Instead, I hit it the full 105 yards... 2 yards extra because I came up short last time (again, inexplicably) and to account for the extra backspin.  Result?  5 yards short... and no, it didn't land in the correct spot and then roll back 5-6 yards.  It didn't even come close to carrying the distance.

Just took a shot on BPB#9... I was 175 yards out, with the hole 7 ft above me.  Normally I hit a shot from the area I was in at +8 yards.  I also had 8 wind at my back, so that's a -4 adjustment.  I should've hit the shot with 179 yards of power, but instead I went with a full 175 yards, aiming left to try to make sure I didn't go into the part of the bunker protecting the pin.  I expected to come up a little short, but only by a few... 170 +\- 3 yards depending on the bounce, just barely making it on to the green.  How far did it go?  It didn't make it anywhere close to 170 yards.  It went 158 yards.

Across the board, I've had to routinely increase the distance that I hit the i(s) in order to get my shots pin-high.  It's not because it rolls less -- I would expect that -- but because it carries less... unless you're talking about on a drive... then it seems to carry tons.  It seems completely inconsistent.

How does a ball that can nearly carry the bunker on the BPB#9 drive without any help from a tailwind (something that the legend ball needed ~15 tailwind to accomplish) not carry anywhere near as far as the legend ball when it comes to irons?
