Hey X  I think this game is free, if you choose to pay for things to compete with the better players on here this is your choice to be competitive. If you treat it as a pc game you can play for free and still have a lot of fun. This is where the line is crossed and confusion or frustration begins as playing a game is free competitive competition will usually have a cost attached.

The better clubs will only allow you to play at a similar level as a pro from armature or master from pro, practice and plenty of it is what will make an elite player .

GIT once again im with you im a weird free thinker too lol.

What am I saying to confuse you. If I had a choice of shooting a 35 with regs, or a 32 with upgrades, I would choose the 35. The 3 stroke improvement does not make me more skillful, and I do not need to see a 32 by my name. I do not criticize those who think the other way. Like I said, we all have different opinions, and  I should not have to take abuse because we do not think alike

If you look at my match play record, you will see that I have no problem playing against anyone, no matter what clubs they use. I am a happy camper that could only wish for a better meter, but the meter is the same for all of us, so no alibi's

i think u are the one confused

Even with a perfect meter you will still find problems its in your nature when you and only you have an opinion worthy of listening to

I have no idea what your problem is, you just do not want to get along, your choice.

I have no more reason to play nice nice, you made it clear that nice nice does not work

Having been here for many rounds, I can assure everyone that you can buy distance, you can buy spin, you can buy accuracy, but the game at the higher level is not for sale...it must be earned...it's a simple fact of life.

I enjoy this game. Have played about 50 rounds and have progressed to a little under 72 average. I'm learning to live with the swing meter jumpiness, and frequent load problems that double the time it should take to play a round, but have encountered a new phenomenon that is bothersome:

Has anyone else noticed that, even under identical conditions (ball position, lie, wind velocity and direction, club selection, swing speed, pin placement, etc.), and even when you hit the center swing mark on the button, you get wildly erratic distances, especially on Bethpage?  I am encountering increasing levels of unpredictability with my iron shots, though my equipment, in this respect, has not changed.  Is there a built in difficulty factor that increases once your average goes down?  Just as when I play real golf, I expect good results when I hit it on the nut with the right club and the right swing for the conditions of play.

    SusieLuke and All,

I've experienced the same effect, especially with iron approach shots.  I read in some forum post here (not sure if it is true) that the lower your average, the difficulty factor increases (VEM?, I believe the post called it.  Since the consistency of shot results is one of the easiest things for programmers to play with (when matched against particular club characteristics) perhaps this could help explain results.  No idea if this is a reasonable assumption.

Anyone know where this might be officially explained or debunked by the WGT program staff?
