Has anyone compared these two yet?  I'm wanting to upgrade to one or the other, but I'm not sure which.  I'm happy with my L62 R9 except that I'd like something a tad longer.  Do you think the slower meter would be a problem with my i15 irons?

    Thanks or the help!

Yes I do, the i15's are the fastest irons available.

The L81 G20 is just as good as the R9, maybe a tad better in feel. I plan to keep the G20. Then you got to adjust if you own different speed irons and wood. Might be a problem with say the R9 85 3W. Not sure yet, time will tell.

I have been playing the level 80 R9 for months - the new level 81 G20 Driver is much easier to ding and far more forgiving AND precise. The meter also does not 'zoom' past the ding as is typical of the R9 (and R 11 3 wood for that matter). I have purchased the set (a bargain, even if you toss the hybrid) and all speeds match.

R9 is maybe a tad longer into the wind but the G20 is within a couple yards (even into the wind); it will easily average 300 yards - here is the important difference - IN THE FAIRWAY.Sell your i-15's and get the set.

Wow, you're right, that full set is a bargain.  I've got 7000 credits in the bank, so I might just do it even though I was planning on saving most of that for the R11 full set.  Thanks for that idea.

The R11 set is many days and a lot of playing away at your level - so the G20 set will serve you well for some time to come - plenty of time to 'earn' credits for the R11 set down the road towards Legend...which is when you will probably want them...good luck!

Yeah, they are a long way off.  The G20s are the first thing that really look like a worthwhile upgrade in this area.  Thanks for the advice!
