There was a post earlier today regarding racial abuse, but it was removed because the the golfer was called out by name. It could just as well been a post about game abuse. A certain player is milking the system shooting artificially high scores to maintain his Tour Pro tier level while shooting very low scores in tournaments to win credits. Sandbagging at its worst.
While this player has not directly affected me I found his behavior to be abhorant and totally deceitful. I can't let that go unanswered.
Below is the note I sent to WGT... I invite this player to respond to this forum post and explain himself.
"Hello WGT... as a long time member, having willingly spent alot of money, I have never written you about game abuse in my 3 years here, but in this case I felt compelled.
Please look at the account of XXXXXXXXX. This is a player who blatently cheats the system... shooting high scores for average and to maintain his/her Tour Pro status, but shooting low scores in tournaments to win credits.
This is sandbagging at the most obvious and is totally objectionable.
I'm not requesting that this player be removed but that you intervene. Perhaps you can set his tier level at what he actually shoots when credits are on the line.
Afterall, the USGA does this in their handicap system if tournament scores are severely lower than regular round scores.
Thank you."
