In that wind you can do it with lvl 33 cally and R11s, its a hurricane you had straight tail, and its not the best drive, take a bit off(5% or more) and get closer to pin had been way smarter! I have R1 and use lvl33 cally, have almost aced that hole in moderate tailwind(21mph)

I was intentionally just trying to go for a 400y+ drive, so it was perfectly executed, exactly as I intended. Sorry if it disappointed U,  LOL

Hi folks and welcome to the club, TR1354, topseller1010, TheBird123,  JackTaylor, ANT11111, WillyBigg, egonweber, warrefrodeb and Jone5.

WillyBigg, your shot was like mine, but you had a bit more wind. Another foot and you would have been in the rough and it would not have counted. A lot of people play their 400 yard shot at Cabo by aiming at the rocks and bouncing off five or six of them and to me it just takes the edge of a good shot.

As for the wind at St Andrews, I’ve played in some high winds there in real life and it’s only about four weeks ago that the Ladies Scottish Open lost a day’s play when the wing reached over 50 MPH.

Thank you John, man I am so jealous. I would have just loved to play that course  irl  when I was younger. Now I would settle just to see it  irl,  lol. Best of luck with those winds, wow.  Take care
