In a few days will be at level 80 and was wondering how many more points it'll take to get to level 83 so I can get the new G-20s.

    TIA,

    Mark G.

Why don't you just get the burner 2,0s?

I'm still considering those, but I like the idea of getting the G-20 full set.  I'm used to the lower level Ping G-20s and feel like they'd suit my game.  I did use the lower level Burner 2's for a while and liked them.  Maybe I should rent the higher level ones to check them out?

It mostly depends on your preferences as to whether or not you should choose the G20s or the Burner 2.0s.

G20s are more forgiving, as well as having a slower meter speed, but they aren't as precise, nor is their spin as high.

The Burner 2.0s are very precise, and you have the bonus of spin by your side, but they lack forgiveness and have a very fast meter, which is difficult to control if you're not used to it.

I've give both of them a few test rentals before coming to your final verdict.

    Very good advice, thanks.

I decided not to wait for the G-20s, went ahead and got the TM R9 driver and Burner 2.0s.  So far am liking these clubs, especially the way the irons hold their ground when you need them to.  Will take me a few rounds to get used to the faster meter but I don't think it's going to be an issue at all.
