Same as the balls that say they give you a better fill, they all fill the same to me. lol  It's just W.G.T. virtual B.S.

Here is the meaning of balance regarding the variety of putters you can choose from.

    Face Balanced Putters

Face balanced putters are those whose face faces upwards when you balance the shaft on your finger. This will mean that the centre of gravity is directly below the axis of the shaft. Basically meaning it will straighten a putting stroke on the forward motion. This type of balance will suit those who have a straight stroke that goes 'back and through'.

    Toe Balanced Putters

Toe balanced putters are those whose toe was points to the ground when you balance the shaft on your finger. This means the centre of gravity is not directly below the shaft axis. This type of balance will suit a player with a in to out to in stroke.

That definition of face balanced vs. toe balanced is great, but it's probably not very illuminating as that wouldn't really effect an avatar's putt since we all have perfect swings with no variation here.

I think ksinfield is referring to balance as it pertains to WGT. It's a question I would like to know the answer to as well.

Beyond precision, forgiveness, and swing meter speed, what effect does more or less balance have on a wgt putt?

I wonder if it has to do with the rate of acceleration of the power meter through the ding. Purely conjecture, but otherwise I can't think of how it would affect a virtual putt.

I am sure there are better qualified players than me here to answer this question, like BiB etc., however the balance on a putter is important, probably as important as precision.

The low balance makes the putter less accurate the farther you move away from the hole.

I believe that is what the take on balance is for putters.

I stand to be corrected, however.

from what i have read in previous forums, balance on the putters refers to how accurate the putter is in terms of distance.  if you have a 50 foot putt and you adjust for a 50 foot putt and you have good balance, then that means your ball will go around 50 feet.   if you have the same scenario with a putter that has less balance, then your putt may end up around 47 feet for example.

The day I got rid of that putter you have and bought the

Redwood ZB, I got -4 strokes a round on average.  I

posted on another forum entry about the difference

between Precision, Forgiveness, and what the Balance

stat does.  Precision is when you hit ding.  Forgiveness

is when you miss ding.  Balance allows you to make 10

    foot putts.  (also reduces frustration)

i putt near 50 % on 1st putts & in last 3 months at a pace of a bit over 63 % 1st putts , & i use the beginner putter always have. so to me it,s just a waste of money to buy putters, if you learn to read the greens & get good speed you can putt . the high $$$  putters may save a shot here & there , but not enough to invest in 1 , just my thought on putting
