I am new to the game and aquired some credits and am in need of some advice. I read a few other threads and am curious about club setup and which clubs to get early. I recently purchased the TM ZSatin 54 and 60 wedges. A. was this a mistake ? B. Do I still need my Sand wedge ? (should I have just gotten one of them instead of both?)

Also I have another 450 credits for to spend and was thinking of waiting til lvl 19 and grabbing the http://www.wgt.com/proshop/product.aspx?i=a2e3775d-d6f4-4b58-a50a-412fa1a0c1b5&name=Spider_Putter_L19&c=Putters. A. Is this a mistake ? B. Should I be getting other clubs ?

As far as Irons, Driver, and Fairway Wood I have the WGT Starter Plus Series.

I feel as if at my low level and still learning these clubs will be the most beneficial for my cash. I appreciate any and all feedback.

Also, fast or slow meters better and why ? I see some people calling meters too fast and other saying they're too slow. I imagine its all preference but is a there a logic such as there are more clubs that are faster let's say so it may be better to learn with faster meters ?

Yes this post is in Tips which is wrong category so I reposting here.

You have done good by your wedges, at your level unless you by a better driver build up your credits and learn what you got, the putter will not help you that much and there is much better clubs down the road.  Maybe get a better ball.    enjoy the ride

I can tell you that I do fairly well.  I can also tell you, I bought the WGT Tour Plus full set at level 6 and it lasted me to L48.  Your wedges are good, though I have found that the one indispensable club in my bag is my 64 degree wedge, so I'd get one of those as soon as you can.  As far as putters, I don't think you can really give someone advice in that regard.  Trial and error.  Use the Masters weekend to rent them all and give them a try.

I'd wait until you get a few more levels under your belt to do any wholesale upgrades, but I tell everyone the same thing.

    1. Upgrade your driver first (and as you progress) as shorter approach shots will result in shorter putts and lower scores respectively)

    2. Upgrade wedges second. Because if you're hitting longer tee shots (see #1) you'll want better wedges to compliment them, again, to produce shorter putts.

    3. Use better balls. More spin equals more precision and control on the greens.

    4. Upgrade irons.

I would start the real upgrades when you reach the 30's (levels).

Thanks for all your help, I think I am gonna hold out until lvl 29 and get the R11 Driver. From there maybe that 64 degree wedge to add to my 60 and 54. Irons and a putter a ways off I suppose.

    Keep the suggestions coming !!!!

I don't know very much about the lower level equipment because it wasn't available to me at the time, but I would like to offer one piece of advice that might be helpful.

New equipment requires a step backward before you can move forward. It takes time to learn new clubs and to be able to really get the most out of them.

Regardless of what you choose to buy, stick with it for a while. Many players change their clubs frequently in the hopes of filling some perceived gap in their game, but they never stick with them long enough to let their game adapt to the new clubs.

The free rental weekend will give you a chance to try everything that's available to you, but at the lower levels, it won't make a huge difference. I would stick with the tour starter set and learn the courses until you can get to some quality clubs r11s at 32 or k15s at 36 are both good sets, and you'll be at those levels sooner than you think.

This is a good weekend to play around with some of the clubs in the shop as rental is free through Sunday, it will give you an opportunity to see what works best for your style of playing.

Thanks for the input guys/gals. I am testing clubs and trying to hit lvl 29 before the free rental period is up so I can purchase the R11 driver as my first (real) upgrade.
