Me and my friends play this all the time but sometimes when I go online I notice they are playing with red dot to show they are busy. Is there any chance of clicking on the player with a option to send message. I wanna tell my mates to sod the tourney they are in and have a game with me

    Hi mrbit,

If you want to send a message to a friend then all you have to do is visit their profile.  If you guys are already friends on the site you'll have the option to send them a private message (top right of their profile, just above their status dot).

Friend list functionality is something that will be enhanced and updated over time so tasks like this will become a bit easier in the future.

    Thanks for the suggestion =)

That depends if they have the WGT website loaded while they are playing.  Some players browse the site or the forums between their shots and if your friend reloads (or opens) the WGT website he'll see his [MY MESSAGES] box flashing green.  If he doesn't have the website open in the background he won't get an immediate notification unless he happens to check his email.

Typically I keep the WGT website window hidden if not closed, therefore I don't see messages immediately.  It would be a great addition to get a message alert in the game client window.

Sorry Andy, but I'm gonna have to say please don't at this point... Until meter issues are resolved with 'animations' this could cause a bit of havoc... sort of like the issue with friends popping in and out and such...  Good idea though...  maybe just don't flash it?

    +1

Meter issues first, then let them start adding functionality!
