In Real Golf all the Majors (not sure of the figures), but let's say the top 100 players get an Auto Entree in the Comp. The other 50 spots they have Qualifying Comps to make the list. Sorry, I don't know the exact figures but something like that...lol.

Why doesn't Wgt do something like this... The Top 100 Wgt Golfers on the List goes straight in... All the others can try to Qualify in an Unlimited Tourny... Simple...lol

The top players are still going to have the best chance either way.

It could be 4,5 or even 6 years old but no one is going to stop talking about it when it involves the opens. Every year about this time people are going to start talking about how crappy qualifying is for the opens on WGT. oh I hit a bad shot must be time for a do over lol. Except when you're talking about a freekin Major Championship it's not a joke to some people.

So why can't you have the R11's if you're prepared to pay for them, just because you're only an amateur?

Wow, see the "tiers and sandbagger" thread.

Wouldn't driving all par 4's and hitting wedges to the par 5's for a second shot from am and pro tees make all the current (well most) tourney's a bit one sided?

Yeah I agree with your point.

But as in real life, just because you have the same equipment as the top players doesn't mean you can use them as well.

So why not make them available but harder to use , and getting progressively easier to use as your tier, and therefore playing skill (theoretically at least), rises.

Make the meter faster, or sweet spot smaller, anything like that.

The reason I suggested it is because I made Master at L42 and the equipment I had were insufficient from those tees. But because of my low level the clubs I needed were still locked. So I had to put up with not being able to reach a lot of long par 4s.

And also, I said that in competition play, everyone plays from the same tee, so it's all level.
