    Alexander14:

Wgt, you guys need to make this coming us open and open championship realistic enough so that the winning scores wont be in the low fifties.Make it so the scores will be at least in the low sixties so People who are not On the Legends Tier have some what of a shot to win.

This makes no sense. Think about what you posted.

If the low fifty shooters (better players) are going to shoot in the sixties, then how are "People who are not on the Legends Tier" (not as good players) that couldn't qualify on the easier course going to shoot better on a harder course?

I do agree the Open Qualifiers should be limited to so many rounds, though. And not UNlimited.

Although, if you think about it, unlimited play gives the underdogs more of a chance.

How about if they limit the Legends to only 4 qualifying rounds and give everyone else unlimited? <cough><snort>

How would you feel if you entered one of your "limited" rounds and got a skippy/shuddery meter for that round and caused you to double bogey a hole, and ruined your chance.

This becomes moot if you have X number of tries, say 10. But every time you think something might work, up pops that friggin $ sign and if the idea restricts sales, forget it. A necessary evil of the game, I suppose.  :-(

Very rarely have meter issues in single play mode since upgrading ram. Happens more at work than at home since I have a faster internet connection at home.  But yes, I do have them and consider it to be part of the game at this point.

And I will usually not even attempt to play a credit based tourney if the meter is shuddery or starts to become shuddery. This only happens at work with the slower connection speed.

Limited wil never happen due to lost revenue, even if it was limited, last 2 new courses for open i posted my best scores after 2nd attempt so are not fussed however wgt playes it.

After doing so last year, even up to the qualifiers for the Fall and early Winter Tours, I have vowed to never again enslave myself to qualifying for anything.  The last three Winter Tour legs I attempted only two or three times, the last only once (shot a 56 and qualified for the first time ever).  I'm sure I'll give these more than a cursory shot, but I'm not going to turn it into a second job.  I dunno that I'll give it more than 10 tries.

But yeah, WGT makes a mint off of balls during the qualifying for these things.  They are not going to slaughter  that cash cow just yet.

Edit:  Actually, I probably will try it a lot more than 10 times, but more to learn the course than trying to qualify.  It's different with a brand-new course.

You bring up a good point. I have searched high and low for ANY kind of information on a second HD course this year. The forums here, the news section, facebook, and even did  a couple searches using the internet using keywords. Nothing. BUT......and I might be a LITTLE bit off with this next statement, but I went back to last year in the news section trying to figure out when WGT finally announced Royal St. George. And I don't see anything about it till May of last year. Now again I could be wrong, and I might of missed something about it before that. But if they do what they did last year, then I would think we should here something about a second HD course in the news section with the next update or there about. And that's IF they are doing a second one.

Personally, I don't mind getting just one HD course a year. I know it requires a LOT of work, time, and money. But we will just wait and see what happens with GREAT  anticipation!! Very much looking forward to the Virtual U.S. Open!!

so People who are not On the Legends Tier have some what of a shot to win

Last year I qualified for the Open at St Georges as a TourMaster - after 12 goes at it (did not do that well in the final but did not disgrace myself - came about midway through the field)  - I had about 20 goes at trying to qualify at Congressional but did not even get close.

So -non legends can make it and have a shot at the title - it is just that  a Legend winning is more probable.

My suggestion - play more WGT golf and get better at it - you may become a Legend too on your path to improving your virtual golf.
