Uphill shots:
Imagine the trajectory of a ball (full shot) and how it would land on ground higher in the curve: shorter and in a flatter angle, thus rolling longer.
Playing with custom balls and clubs with high trajectory, most of the time (except e.g. BPB#15) I play the length indicated, taking wind into account. From further out, the ball will land earlier and roll up (no backspin), with wedges I use backspin to stop it on the point. You may use the bs to control the length.
Clubs with less elevation will need more length to compensate.
Downhill shots:
The trajectory becomes longer and steeper here. Thus the balls will fly longer but have less roll. You need less bs.
Most of the time the length dominates (CCC #10), alas the last hole(?) at Wolf Creek may be different.
