I recently bought myself a Nike Fuelband because I am a big gadget geek and I like stats (also one of the reasons I like this game so much - good stats). I wear the band even when sedentary on the couch, but I have recently found that doing some wrist excercises while playing computer golf adds a ton to my "Fuel" count.
Much to my wife's amusement, these excercises have developed into a big of a pre-shot waggle routine. I like to do a little "shake it out" where I wave both hands around, follow that up with some wrist-twisters, and then I finally get some finger curls in before attempting my shot. This is usually during alt-shot matches when I have a little bit of time in between the action.
I started doing this because I realized that the Fuelband was in fact recording my playing of WGT as "activity" because of the motion required to point mouse (or move to trackpad) and click. I also do it pretty forcefully (it's loud when I hit that button!) so I guess that helps. Still cracks me up that I get the Fuel credits for playing a game, so I thought I would just maximize it! (For the record, playing Mario Kart on the Wii using the steering wheel will also net you some Fuel points.)
Of course my golf game has not improved very much, but I just wanted to share in case anyone was curious about how WGT can be worked into a workout routine. The Fuelband, by the way, is really a pretty fun product. It's overpriced just like Nike balls on here, but it's entertaining for sure...
