What I don't understand ,is why wgt takes in lot of the total credits paid in on ready go's. Does anyone else feel that they are taking advantage.of us players..I know ,if you dont like it, dont enter.........but when you take in 10000 cr, and only pay 8000 back....thats redicu     less.

Straight from the FAQ at the bottom of the page....

    WGT FAQ:

    What are Ready-Go Tournaments?

Ready-Go Tournaments are structured to have a maximum of 50 players per tournament. As soon as 50 players enter the tournament it will be closed for new entries and a new tournament with the same parameters will automatically be created for players to join.

How do I know if my country or state of residence is eligible to play in Ready-Go Tournaments?

There are certain countries and states where skill-based gaming is prohibited. Players from those countries and states will not be allowed to participate in Ready-Go Tournaments.

The U.S. states that do not allow skill-based gaming are: Arizona, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Iowa, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Montana, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, and Vermont

The countries that do not allow skill-based gaming are: Brazil, Argentina, the People's Republic of China, South Korea, Japan, and any other jurisdiction that WGT excludes in its sole discretion.

How do I access the Ready-Go Tournament page?

You can access the Ready-Go tournament page from the promo on the Tournament section or via this link: http://www.wgt.com/tournaments/readygo_new.aspx. You can also access the Ready-Go tournaments from the game menu under the Tournaments section.

How many players can play in a Ready-Go tournament?

A maximum of 50 players can enter a Ready-Go Tournament

What is the payout for a Ready-Go tournament?

WGT pays out 80% of the total purse in WGT Credits to the top 30 finishers in the tournament. The current payout table for Ready-Go Tournaments is:

StandingPercentage of Purse(Example. 100 credit entry fee, excluding ties)
    1st 15% (600 credits)
    2nd 10% (400 credits)
    3rd 7.5% (300 credits)
    4th 6.25% (250 credits)
    5th - 10th 5% (200 credits)
    11th - 15th 2.5% (100 credits)
    16th - 30th 1.25% (50 credits)

To sum up, they only take 20% of the total pay-in, a bit high?  Maybe.  But not a rip-off.

Every company has to make money, no matter how great the profit. The biggest PLUS for all of us - this site is FREE. IF WGT doesn't make some profit then we "pay to play"  ALL THE TIME.  20% is NOT BAD.

I partially agree with you. But, every company has to make a profit...with a reasonable limit. It may be a little high, but I have a much better chance of winning something going the "Ready-Go" tourneys. And advertizers are paying big bucks to send their message to hundreds of thousands of viewers. Just my 2 cents. Thanks.

I think the rake should be scaleable just like it is in skins. The higher the stake means there's less rake.

    i.e

    $1 RG's 20%

    $2 RG's 18%

    $5 RG's 15%

    $10 RG's 10%

    That kinda thing.

I'm in agreement with Mr Lee....as in maybe the across board 20% rake is a little steep...but not a rip off.

Rip off to me is if I earn £100K  then I have to pay the UK Treasury 40% of it back in Tax.

At least with WGT I can have some fun.
