    Hi all,

I have played St A many many times. I have played fr 9's, back 9's, full 18, Skins, Alt shot etc. I have just finished an RSG on St A (Full 18, 100c entry) and been totally bamboozled.

I found the spin totally inconsistent, the wind inconsistent, the roll on greens I know very well to be totally different to the norm and lastly the yardages of my shots to be greatly different on many occasions to what I am used to.

I used the same ball (Callaway (is) ) and same clubs (G20's) that I always use and noticed from the second shot that something was different. What made it even more confusing was the way that some shots, example a dinged 89yd pitch into an 8mph headwind which would normally leave me bang on the money was pulling up 12yds short, a dinged full Drive with a tailwind of 12mph which i expected to go approx 320 yds stunned me when it went 287 straight down the Fairway with no bounce into the face of a bank.

Is this normal in RSG's or have I had a "One off"?

    Never had one do that.

Have you been switching your clubs around lately? Like using a different driver or irons for one round and then switching back?

Did you try quitting the game closing your browser and dumping all the cache?

That's the only thing I could think that would cause you shots to be that far off.

I JUST had a round where 1st 3 holes = perfect. Next 4 holes = striking ball perfect but distance 10 to 15yds off, short AND long. flop shots not holding, puts going short and long!!!!   I had one putt 8' down 2" and shot it for 8' = 2" short.

I feel ya. It seems to be if I birdie the 1st 3 holes the ball flight and rolling parameters change DURING THE ROUND. not the first time this has happened.

SA is fairly flat, RSG is a used up bomb field with many humps in the fairways.

    Play is totally different.

Need to learn the spots, and try for a roll out, many times at RSG yoou can get a direct wind, and still scratch out a 300 yard drive, no so much at SA's.

I think by RSG he mean Ready To go and not royal St. Georges.

To answer you question, I just think yo grabbed a bad deviation that made your round weird... try to play it a couple of more times and you will see that in normal basis most of the games and courses play the same.

I've noticed that the effect of wind speed is more pronounced on holes that are right next to the sea on StA and RSG (Cabo as well).

This could be intentional bit of realism  in the programming by WGT, not necessarily a bug..

Just to clarify, the Comp was a Ready to Go for 100c and was at St Andrews.

I have played the course plenty enough times to know all the landing spots, best lines in, green slopes etc. This one round was totally different from any other I have ever played. It was almost as if I was a new starter not a TM with well used clubs and balls. I had absolutely no confidence in the shots I hit after the 3rd hole by which time I had had 4 shots that were totally abnormal.

Must just have been one of those things.

I'll keep an eye open in future Tourneys.

    Thanks for your comments all.
