FInishing up an RG today from last night.  No lie- I'm tapping in my birdie putt on 18 (I had hit the putt) when up pops a message from WGT:  'We're sorry, but you did not complete your round in time, blah blah blah"...  Is it a coincidence that I got that message when I had literally hit my last putt?  Was I a split second from completing it?  Or did WGT wait until the last possible moment to let me know my score wouldn't count?  I've never encountered this before- I usually complete my rounds the same day, but I was called by work last night and had to quit.  I think I completed it within 24 hours of when I started... Oh well... the good news is that my score wasn't that great, fortunately...

It always waits until the last putt before telling you that you can't complete the round as it has timed out. I have had it a few times. I have also beat the time out by seconds. I played a Kiawah 18 hole RG with something like 35mins on the clock, I didn't even have time to move the aimer, lol.

I think Bollox denied me winning a 500c ready go with seconds to spare. Mind you he did beat my score by 4 shots :) Can't complain really.

    Hi

the timer checks kick in on the last shot. so if the round passed the 24 hour period, it will error.

24 hours "exactly" CM.....lol. As you mentioned, at least the score wasn't a top 3.

Thanks for the responses guys.  So if I completed the round less than 12 hours after I started it, why did I get DQ'd?  Is there a way I can tell before I start the RG how much time is left?   I signed up just after midnight and got DQ' about 12 hours later.  Where does the 24 hours come in?

    Thanks,

    CM

Click on a closed readygos... a popup window will come up and show  maximum time you have left to play.

It's not 12 hours after you start (say you are the last to join) but if you are the the last to join, it would be 12 hours after you entered, not when you started your round.

Ah, that makes sense.  I do think I just missed the 12 hours, but apparently a miss is as good as a mile ;)    Guess I have to make sure I finish if I'm one of the last entries
