    Out of sheer boredom the other day , I decided to go after my "Day at the Beach" awards, so I deliberately took 14 shots from the sand and shot 74. Why can't I get my award for 5 & 10.

    It depends on which course you were playing, there was a thread a while back about Kiawah where it was pointed out that not all sand areas actually count towards the sand shot total.  Not sure if this is a bug or not, or if it is, if it's been resolved.

    Yeah looks like you tried @ Kiawah, not going to happen there. Many of the bunkers aren't counted as sand lies. Bethpage is place to go do it when you get bored again ;).
