Famed Pinehurst No. 2 will be rolled out as part of the 2014 Virtual U.S. Open, with the full 18 hole stroke play Qualifier coming in May. The live USGA events are in June, including both the U.S. Open and the U.S. Women's Open Championship, the first time both events will be played on the same course in back-to-back weeks.

The WGT Virtual Tour continues this month with the Glenmorangie Cup, featuring 18 of the best famous holes from WGT courses.

All scores have been posted and the results are in from the first Major of the WGT Virtual Tour in the GolfNow Championship.

Nearly 100,000 virtual golfers competed on Kiawah for a share of the 400,000 WGT Credit purse and a chance to move up the Virtual Tour season standings.

It was a close race to the finish, as many well-known WGT players battled it out at the site of the 2012 PGA Championship. Ultimately, it was Tour Legend frenchconnect (USA), a WGT member since 2010 who captured this month’s title by firing rounds of 55 and 54 for a cumulative total of 109, edging out five other Tour Legends for top honors, including: Mannyankees (DR), fmagnets (UK), jmoney2224 (USA), CptWomp (CAN) and xXxjasonxXx (USA).

As the calendar turns to April, the WGT Virtual Tour moves to the Best of Famous Holes course for the Glenmorangie Cup. Play is already underway as virtual golfers from around the world compete on a selection of famous and challenging stroke play holes including, the intimidating 18th at Bethpage Black, the historic 18th at St. Andrews, the tricky par-3 10th at Congressional and more.

The Top 70 combined scores in each tier (Pro and higher) will split the 200,000 WGT Credit purse and gain points that contribute to overall Virtual Tour season rankings. The Glenmorangie Cup is open to virtual players of all skill levels, and features an unlimited-play first round through 4/25 and a single-play second round concluding on 4/30.

Excitement builds in the GolfNow Championship as the conclusion of the first Major of the WGT Virtual Tour draws near. Players are not only competing for a large 400,000 WGT Credit purse, but also for points that contribute to overall season standings and ultimately decide who will gain a spot in the December Championship.

Although several notable players have yet to post their Round 2 score on Kiawah, including dansamcam (USA), the Tour Legend tier is currently led by frenchconnect (USA) after firing impressive rounds of 55 and 54 for a two-round total of 109, followed by four players finishing just one stroke back.

Competition is heating up at the first major of the WGT Virtual Tour season, as a record number of participants are all vying for their share of the 400,000 WGT Credit purse at the GolfNow Championship.

Players have until 3/26 to post a Round 1 score. pb1711 (ZAF), CptWomp (CAN) and chop948 (USA) share the early lead among the Tour Legend players with an 18-hole, stroke play score of 53, while the group of contenders just one stroke back includes dansamcam (USA), who has won each of the first two events this season. Joining him with a first-round 54 are ujjbnjk (SWE), bawbag1874 (UK), Tarheelfan83 (USA), Mannyankees (DOM), fmagnets (UK) and jmoney2224 (USA).
