We’re very excited to announce the release of a brand new Discord server for WGT players.

For those who don’t know, Discord is the easiest way to engage with the WGT community using voice, video, and text. By talking, chatting, hanging out and staying close with other players and communities, Discord allows users to get in touch in a variety of ways.

Discord servers work similar to an online chat room, but with both text and voice channel support. It’s the preferred platform for players, providing them with a number of ways to find each other, coordinate games and talk while playing!

How will Discord be used for WGT?

• Use this online community-building space to meet other players and talk about all things WGT!

• Receive updates and information on new game features that isn’t always as available on the forums

• Have real-time conversations with WGT team members and stay up to date on the latest WGT news and product releases

Does this mean the forums are going away? No not at all! Discord is a platform that is much more equipped to facilitate real-time conversations, meaning it will work in conjunction with our current forum setup.

Has your golf game been improving lately? Test your accuracy in this month’s Winner’s Circle event!

To play, land your ball in one of the colored rings surrounding the cup by taking one shot from the fairway of the 5th hole at Celtic Manor (CTTH). To maximize competition, all players will be using special Winner's Circle clubs.

If you land your ball in one of the rings or in the hole you’ll win prize chests, which include items like apparel packs, sleeves of golf balls and more. Each prize chest is coordinated to match a ring of the same color on the green. 

A few things to know:

• All players will use the same exclusive Winner’s Circle-branded club set

• The hole, pin placement, green speed and wind rating will not change from one shot to the next, however you may see slight wind direction and wind speed changes

• If the timer expires before you take your shot, that shot will be lost

• Winner's Circle is a limited-time event, so any remaining shots will stay in your inventory and can be used in future events (*excludes free shots that are only available during that event)

If you’re new to CC Events, there are a few things you should know:

• CC Events allow WGT Country Clubs to compete against each other for bragging rights and special in-game rewards.

• The club that earns the most total points from their Clashes wins.

• When your club enters the event, you’ll be matched with a club of a similar skill level and a timer will keep track of how much play is left in that Clash.

• Club members from both sides can play as many rounds as they’d like during that time using Club Passes and Superpasses to earn points.

• WGT Country Clubs can use Course Builder currency to create custom courses to play in country club tournaments.

Each event is made up of Club Clashes that last for 4 hours so be sure to keep playing and keep your eyes on the leaderboard.

New to Showdowns? Here’s what you need to know:

Qualifying Round

• The qualifying round lasts three days, each day is a new chance to qualify for the elimination round

• During the qualifying round, the top 50% of the leaderboard advance to the elimination round

• Players that qualify on day 1 (top 50%) do not need to compete in days 2 or 3 of the qualifying round

• Players that do not qualify on day 1 can still compete on days 2 or 3 to advance

Elimination Round

• The elimination round lasts two days, with players having only one chance to advance to the final round

• The top 50% of the leaderboard qualifies for the final round

Final Round

• The final round lasts two days

• All players that make it to the final round will win prizes, and higher ranks win bigger prizes!

Other Things to Know

• Scoring is based on total strokes, meaning the fewer shots you take to complete your matches, the higher you will rank on the leaderboard

• Any incomplete or forfeited holes will be scored as bogeys
