    Hi everyone,

I'm sure this sort of thing has been posted somewhere in the past (sorry, didn't want to search for thread; I'm too lazy and too busy golfing!), but when oh when are we ever going to see more than one or two different pin placements on these courses?  It sure would make the courses more interesting and challenging week to week.  How hard can it be for you WGT programmers to have half a dozen different pin placements for each hole and rotate them?  Please consider this very reasonable suggestion.

    Thank you,

    Matt

It could only work if the photos have already been taken when the course was prepared for WGT. Unless they revisit the course.

I've always wondered why that is?  I mean we can putt from anywhere on the greens and see the slopes and breaks.  I'd bet it's more a matter of time and effort to implement rather than needed additional photos.

Maybe Icon can confirm or deny?

Icon said we were getting new pins for Congressional ans RSG but he hasn't replied to some of my past posts in the last couple of months. Still don't know why they can't implement them when a course is released? I agree with Mbagg...... we can putt anywhere on the green and can't imagine it being that hard but what do I know, I'm a computer idiot!

True, you can putt from anywhere, however, generally all pictures you see while on the green point in the general vicinity of the current hole location.... So picture it like hundreds(maybe not that many) of cameras in a big circle around the hole at different radii.  They would need pics like this for each hole location.  If they did not have the foresight to do this (which I imagine was the case for Kiawah) then they would have to go back an get more.

*Disclaimer... pure speculation on my part, but I think this is the main issue.

    A good guess I guess :)

Different radii may be emulated by adapted zooming related to the distance from the hole.

As if some of the Kiawah greens don't make me pull my hair out already...
