Is it me or did wgt cut the lobby time in half?? :-D

  I'm going to open this thread again because now I'm ****** off .

  Let me explain....   with the current problems I am having, with slow loads and Flash crashes and all that Jazz....  I must say Meter is perfect...lol  can't win....lol

  I had to change from Chrome (I've been using for years) to Firefox....  That fixed the Problem, BUT... somebody else disconnects...fair enough...  I get a 'Unexplained Error' and have to close and come back.

  I don't have my profile page running because I get Meter probs if I do... so when I close down, Fox deletes all the cache auto, more time wasting.... log on and game over due not getting back in time...... for effs sake.

  I hope all you people are happy the the time has changed... the ones that have been whinging about waiting too long in the lobby.

  For people like me who love a Multi Player game... you might just have stopped me from playing these type of games......   Huge Congratulations to Wgt listening to people like that... and not taking in all the facts... Well done

  If you are one of people you wanted a shorter waiting time.... the next time you can't get back... just think of this post....   Have a wonderful day....lol

  I agree with you Roger.

  When there are 4 people to factor in and consider 2:30 is too short for an ALT game.

  WGT has the problems which more than often cause a disconnection. At time the PC needs to be rebooted and at times the modem.

  2:30 is not long enough to reboot PC or Modem, load web browser, log back in to WGT and load game window to continue.

  If anything what is needed in the game lobby on a disconnect, is a VOTE button to 'Suggest Drop'  the game.

  Yesterday I lost 2 great Multi games ... and I'm fuming ... If it was still the 5mins... getting back would have been no problems.

  Time is way too short. The cutting in the time, might just make more of a problem because people won't be able to get back in 2-3 mins.

  Not sure about the Vote Button....  If you play regular games with others, you know that they would try every possible way to get back or you thump em the next day....lol.  Just saying good friends that is, you will thump....lol

  Roger do you launch straight to the game client from a bookmark or from the Play now before closing your profile page?

  I hate it.  I have had my PC do a random reboot, and I didnt make it back in time.  Like i have suggested before, lets put this as an option.

  Launch from Play Now.... then close the profile page when it loads. 

  If I have the profile page running, when playing a game then meter spikes come in.  Which means if I get the dreaded 'Unexpected Error' message....  I have to close the screen, then Fox does it's Auto delete cache (I hav to stop that I think) ... this can take a min or two, log on again quickly,   there's your 3mins straight away.....Gone....lol

  As I was saying before.... Meter is great.... Just the shorter time to get back really annoys me (I can't write down what I really think about it)... lol

  Chrome was good, It didn't clear the cache when closing....  but I can't use that at the moment, because of the slow loads and Flash crashes. I've aslo tried a few Flash releases too...still the same with Chrome...

  Not to worry....  The meter is great with Firefox, with Chrome too...  but multi play games, hmmm... I don't like  to let people down if I can't get back in time, hence the time cutting

  To all....

  Try the Maxthon 3 browser for SOLELY WGT :)

  I think you'll find a marked improvement in ALL things WGT

  Don't go this way. Create a bookmark for the game in your browser toolbar. Better yet, use Chrome for everything but the game and FF for the game. Set the home page for FF to the game client. That way you go directly to the game when you open FF and you eliminate all the baggage that comes with opening the main WGT page.

  Basically I agree that 5 minutes was too long when playing with people you do not know.  Some just can't do the right thing and not quit.  I also see where it can be a pain when playing with genuine people!

  One idea:))

  When anyone not on your friends list plays and does not have a perfect completion records for last 10 rounds the default is 2.30 minutes, and everything else it's 5 minutes.  I would be happy with that but some might consider too much confusion I guess??  Hard to please every one on this!
