Can someone explain to me how to record and save a game or part of a game you play?

I am trying to use    Xsplit broadcaster

    Thanks

I use Ocam and it's a very easy way to record the screen. Drag and set area to be recorded, and click a button. F2 stops it, and the video appears on my desktop (the only setting I changed was the video destination folder, I made it place all vids on desktop). It doesn't cause any meter jumpiness on my computer, either. And, I use a a 7 yr old Win Vista 4 GB ram, and 2.3 processor. I've tried many screen recorders and Ocam is the easiest, and less intrusive on my CPU and ram. A lot of people use bandicam, but it has that watermark, and a time limit per video. Ocam is free, no watermark, and no limit on recording. I guess it's probably what works best for you and your system, though. I use the VLC player to watch and the Windows Movie Maker to edit (yes, I'm a cheapskate...I like FREE stuff)......Jay

Thanks Jay, I really want to try the XSplit and see if I can get it going. If I can't then I will try Ocam

That sounds great.  I've used Bandicam a few times and although the watermark doesn't intrude badly, not having it at all would be much nicer.  As would no recording time limit.

    Thanks for the tip.

    Hi Gary

Here is a channel we had for my old CC (it was just two of us). All of the vids were made using Ocam. I'm a hacker, so pay no attention to actual golfing :)

Not sure how to post a link. You may have to copy and paste it.

    Thanks for the tip.

You're welcome. Hope it works as well for you as it does for me. I am doing all of my saved shots (I just copy the share link and paste it to word pad) using ocam also. Just filming the main part from the best view. Then I use Win. Movie  Maker and just add them one after the other. Pretty quick. I wish I knew how ScottHope Made that compilation post on his profile. It's cool. But, I believe he is a tech guru or something. And I'm not :) hell, I still type with only my index fingers, lol.

A tech guru? no, no, no......I just mess about with things that I don't really understand and when something good comes out of it I'm too embarrassed to tell anyone that I don't know how it happened, hehe.
