Another reason not to be using IE. You know it's bad when Homeland Security gets involved.......

DHS says don't be using IE for a while.

    From the article...........

"The new remote code execution vulnerability, dubbed CVE-2014-1776, has the potential to give hackers the same user rights as the current user. That means a successful attacker who infects a PC running as administrator would have a wide variety of attack open to them such as installing more malware on the system, creating new user accounts, and changing or deleting data stored on the target PC."

I use IE only to update...I wouldn't use it or Chrome for anything public if i were you.

Funny story...renown internet security expert Steve Gibson referred to "kiddie hachers" as a problem, Steve was on all the tech shows giving advice...

A 13yr old took exception to Steves comments and launched a DOS(denial of service) attack on his website with over 5000 pc's he had bots on and controlled worldwide shutting it down...

Steve tracked him down in a room on a site and told him he better stop...the kid said "EFF YOU, 1st post post a retraction of your kiddie hacker statement"!

Steve: "Then I'm forced to call the FBI on you"...

KID: " So what, they won't even talk to you unless you can prove $5000 in lost revenues, and even if you can so what, all they do is tell me to stay off the internet for 2 years like they did when I hacked into the phone company when I was 11"....

Haven't been there in years but Steve used to have the story posted on his site...

Why would you trust anything DHS had to say?
