This is to summarize my first notice of a real deviation in WGT's scorecards.
It concerns hole #2 at Olympic.

The lengths given by WGT scorecard are
    red   white   blue  black (Legend)
    339    361    378    428  yds.

This may only be true from the tips, because the indication of the bunker distances at the front of the green are from the other tees:
    350(*)   361   378

    (*) see camera view below

Thus the scorecard length from red is fairly shorter than the front of the green (impossible!) and those from white and blue are just at the front of the green (still impossible).

The lengths of direct measurement from tee to pin (given at the blue dot and
verified by movement of the aming target) are
    369   377   387    426 yds.

They correlate to the distances given for the real course's scorecard from different internet sources:

    367   380   380   394/418 yds

taking into account that the pin is behind the center of the green.

Thus, 367 and 380 yds (or similar) may be considered more appropriate scorecard lengths of the short tees!

Slight curve in the fairway though.  You would find the same thing on nearly every hole I'd imagine.  The measurement of all golf holes (aside from par 3s on wgt) are from tee to the middle of the fairway where tee shots typically end up + the distance from the middle of the fairway to the center of the green.

    Think!

Any curve or dogleg would lead to a scorecard length longer than the beeline - see BPB #1. There's no way to justify the indications here which do not even reach the green!

Only #2 AFAIS, and more the short ones than the longer.

    Thanks for bumping it mate!

This green is unreachable from the tee box so I don't understand why it matters so much if the card distance is correct? Once we hit our tee shots the distance to the pin from the fairway is all that matters.

This is said to be a realistic representation of famous golf courses under US/UK Open Championship conditions. Should this not be true in such easy detail?

If it doesn't matter, why have a scorecard anyway?

More than once have players criticized that the length differences between different pin sets aren't visible (e.g.STA#10) which can be explained, but now there is an outright mistake! The new fault at PIN#4 is hidden better...

If it doesn't matter to you, I can only agree to disagree.

St A #10 can be driven from the tee so it does matter. Oly #2 can't be driven from any tee box so the approach distance is what's important. Unless you just like to find little problems with everything how can WGT changing the scorecard now do anything?
