Far from a knowledgeable computer guy and looking for some help from some kind soul...or even an evil soul with a soft moment......

When playing on IE, I now have the Adobe Flash Player box pop up on every screen every time I play...I can click "close", but it comes back every time I play.....so, I switched to Firefox because I cant get it to go away.

Now, on Firefox, in the middle of a game I had a pop up about the shockwave plug-in and "continue" or "don't continu"e...When I hit continue, it did nothing...So, I hit "don't continue"...now, when I re-enter WGT, and click the big green "play now" button...nothing happens.

Any advice on fixing either of these would be greatly appreciated.

Check the permissions for WGT in Flash. Right click in the Play Now box and choose Global Settings/Local Storage Settings by Site. Find media5.wgt.com, click on it and make sure is says "Allow" in the drop down above Add/Remove.

Under Settings (not global) make sure WGT is allowed to store at least 100KB.

Thanks YJ...did that...it is set to "allow"...but, I still get the Adobe Flash Player Settings box on every screen when using IE.  screen shot attached...no matter how many times I close it...it comes back on whatever the next screen is that I got to.

Won't do any harm to try this but you will have to redo your game settings afterwards.

Is it possible cookies are getting deleted or there's some IE security option that's keeping WGT from being an accepted site? You wouldn't think so as you'd be having to log in and reset settings every time you played if they were. IDK about IE, haven't ever used it but it sounds like IE is not recognizing permissions for WGT.

I appreciate the suggestions guys...I'll try a system restore first on Firefox as this only started happening today during a game..as for IE...I may look for a large hammer or other blunt device.

LOL. Didn't want to say anything but.......    ;-)

The biggest issue with IE is that it's a browser that the majority of people use and serves as the best target for hackers, etc. IE knows this and might have ultra serious safeguards working, or something like that. CD does this when you choose to use their own secure servers because of the tighter security.

I believe you have to have Active X installed also, when using IE. If you already know this, and have it, sorry, I was just throwing something out there. IE is EVIL, lol. I have it completely disabled because it is online ALL OF THE TIME whether you are or not. It is a cookie/trash/temp.file hoarder for no reason other than Micros**t is as "bullying" as Google. Even completely disabled, I still have to clear IE history/cookies. Too bad it can't be removed completely from a computer.

You might try to uninstall adobe, restart the pc, and do a fresh install, but you have to make sure ALL adobe files and registry items are gone before the re-install. Use iobit uninstaller if you do try the uninstall/re-install. Maybe it's all fixed and you can ignore this post. Good luck.
