    Hey WGTers,

WGT would like to thank you all for participating in the first CC vs CC event that ran for the past 24 hours. We know there are some kinks and issues to fix and we will be making those updates before another event is run.

Also, we know there was an issue in the system where playing a game outside of a Clash would earn points for your club if it was involved in a Clash. Although this behavior was not intended it was not against the rules. That being said, we will be changing the rules for all future Events so this will not be allowed and points will only be earned while playing in a Clash game.

Again, thank you for all of the feedback and forum posts.

    WGT

Does that mean your going to return everyones passes and balls.  We had no chance of winning.  I don't get on the forums much, to much bs.

Sorry wgt how many passes have been purchased to play this event? ................ I'm sorry but your words are not enough.

    Think about it:

since you introduced pass, CC versus CC, Club XP you get in a street with no way out ................ think quickly to a solution to get out otherwise it'll come through more

    Best regard

    Carlo

Sorry, but as a member of the club that actually won the event,  that seems a little like a smack in the teeth admin. Hell, if we could have all been playing best of putting and racking up mad points too --- oh wait, we could have, BUT WE DIDN'T or WOULDN'T HAVE. Taking advantage of an "unintended behavior" is called exploiting in most games -- and gets ya banned usually.

I for one wouldn't mind all the 37 credits I spent on passes and the balls I peeled through playing the event which was being hijacked by 7-8 minute rounds of Best of Putting to our 20-25  minute rounds of normal courses. I'm with Ronny -- refund our dough please.

Haven't read all of these 37 pages going, as would take too long for sure, personally I enjoy the competition against the other CC ( although why you give us a 184+ member CC when were 50, a tad  unsure)

As for the ' gold putter' if it's not fairly distributed, highly doubt i'd play it again unless….maybe a gold cup for the winners of the event your CC is in would be lovely :))

I am flabbergasted, what is against the rules?

Dazza (Wooden Tee CC Owner)  Thank you for the post, we are definitely looking at the scoring to reward lower scoring

If the behavior was not intended, whose bright idea was it to stick the "Play A Country Club Tournament" button directly below the Clash "Play Now" button?  It sure looked to me and probably many thousands of others like this was an either/or situation.

Poor design.  Poor programming.  Poor rollout.

All of this nonsense could be prevented by allowing a team of actual users to have a peek at the program before rolling it out and test it the way users do, NOT the way that programmers think that users will use it.  I have been in the business for over 30 years and users are often a lot more "creative" (i.e. do unexpected things) than programmers give them credit for.

So what happens when it is confirmed that at least one remarkably new member of the top placed club has been exploiting this Best of Putting loophole? Will WGT be able to manually correct the scores in case the clubs in 2nd or 3rd place are the legitimate winners?

I noticed something fishy during our Clash with Augusta. Normal totals were evident during the first hour or two and then suddenly their total exploded. I went to their club page and looked at the score history of the three players at the top. All were playing a putting event, not Kiawah. I posted about it in our forum and sent a message to WGT, asking them to look into it. As the Clash wound down, a few more must have 'discovered' the loophole and Augusta went from 4th in the standings to first.
