Substituing hybrid for 3i

    Right now, we are stuck with 8 club iron set, plus driver and putter, so we have 4 clubs left.

    I'm playing with 3 wedges and 3w which I think is right choice out of 4 clubs.  But, if I got option to break the 8 irons and dump the 3i for a hybrid, I'd probably do it, even if WGT charged me a reasonable fee for the option of breaking up the iron set.  Anyway, just a thought.

    Good thought...I agree.  All they would need to do give us the ability to un-equip the 3 iron and as a bonus how about the pitching wedge  from the set....we would be able to buy that hybrid or rescue and a 4th wedge.... no fee needed...just MHO..

    That has been suggested many times. WGT says it probably will never happen. The iron set is programmed as a set and there would just be too much reprogramming involved. Plus how many more pages of irons and iron sets would there be if they broke up the iron sets into separate clubs? The amount boggle the mind .

    Would not be a need for more sets just the ability to remove the 3 iron and replace it with a hybrid or wedge if one so desires

     I think WGT maybe hearing breaking up the sets as well....just 2 club would need the ability to be unequipped instead of the whole set..7 irons stay....and yes that may still be a lot of work for the programmers  but it is also a revenue generating job...

    if they cant split up the set they should release a longer hybrid or shorter legend 3w that is rated 230yd, it would be really useful and should sell well
