Retake Shot Option in Practice Mode

  Dear WGT,

  I have a suggestion for Practice Mode. After making any shot during the round, make the option available to retake the shot. This way you could actually practice using different clubs and different types of shots from the same location (like in real life). This would help players to really get a feel for which clubs to use in certain situations.

  I need a lot of help with chipping and judging distances out of bunkers. Currently, the only way to practice bunkers is to hit into one and take my shot. Then hit into it again, and try another shot. With a retake shot option, I could hit into it once and then take as many shots as I want out of it until I feel more confident in club selection and shot type. Obviously this kind of practice would help tremendously when I need to choose a shot in a non-practice situation.

  I don't know much about programming a game, but it seems like it wouldn't be as difficult to add this option as it would be to add say a practice facility/driving range, for example. You already have Replay Shot, so why not Retake Shot?

  Good idea!  Another one is the practice range. If profit is what WGT wants, charge a small fee to use balls on a practice range. Buy buckets of balls just like real. Club rental profit would probably also go up.

  Can't do this or players will hit the same shot over and over and over again until they get this shot programmed in their head and it is TIGHT every time and they play to that spot every time. And scores will be ridiculously low. Much like before the big change when they introduced the 7 tiers.

  Well, I'm thinking that most your activity is mostly just replying to post, you must think that what ever you think is the only answer. Let's just play golf, huh, I rarely get to play, and still play more often then you.

  I'd love to have the opportunity to hit a bucket of balls once in a while.

  Don't players do this already? Besides, it won't be the same every time because of the wind changes. There is also a variable built into the game so that even if the shot is hit exactly the same it won't always have the same result.

  Been asking for this for ages JD, but I don't think it's ever going to happen.

  Type 'Mulligan Option' into the search engine above right. And ignore all the negative comments - it would be a useful means of improving everyone's game, as practice brings it's own reward. Maybe that's what they're afraid of!
